The Bylaws state: The President may appoint members-at-large to serve on the Executive Board. The members-at-large, while not eligible to vote, provide leadership on special projects, chair committees and bring varied and valuable input on discussions.

Members-at-large are appointed by the President and may be asked, or volunteer, to perform special projects for the Association and the Board. These projects might include help with writing letters, setting up and working on events, and filling in where help is needed to assist other Board members. These positions do not have voting rights and are considered ex-officio. Time commitment varies depending on the task(s) being performed.
