The Bylaws state: The Marketing Director shall assist each officer in determining needs of the members and the Association. The Director shall manage how news and PFLA publicity are distributed, with assistance and input from PFLA members and the Executive Board.

The Marketing Director actively initiates promotion of upcoming events while working closely with other officers in determining needs of the members and the Association and creating publicity to notify members about PFLA activities (including monthly membership meetings as well as special professional development offerings, and other special events). Skills are needed in producing written documents that are eye catching, professional, informative and unified in appearance. The Marketing Director will also assist the Web Services Director with keeping the website attractive and updated with timely and correct information.

The Marketing Director works very closely with President-Elect and Director of Professional Development. All written material to be displayed on the web, except the monthly minutes, must be sent through the Marketing Director who is the final editor, who then sends the final copy to the Web Services Director for posting.
